The Tourism Industry Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies urges Kazakh citizens willing to make trips to South Sudan to refrain from visiting this country until the crisis situation is fully resolved there, the committee reported today.

More than 1,000 people were killed during the riots when a military coup attempt was made in South Sudan. UN peacekeepers sent there to resolve the situation are also among the dead, according to the international news agencies.

The authorities of many countries recommended their citizens leave the country. The tourists and representatives of diplomatic missions are being evacuated.

South Sudan has been recently popular among the tourists who like extreme safari. There is the Bandingilo National Park which is 85 kilometers to the north of South Sudanese capital of Juba. One can see several species of giant antelopes, giraffes, lions, cheetahs and many birds.
