The exchange rate adjustment will provide the economic growth of Kazakhstan at least by six percent, President of the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the meeting of the Kazakh government in Astana on Feb. 14.

"This measure will provide the economic growth at least by six percent, and the economic growth means the growth of funds to the budget. It means that this money will go to the people - pensions, salaries and incomes," he said.

The head of the state noted that three days of ago, the exchange rate adjustment of the national currency was conducted.

On Feb. 11, the National Bank of Kazakhstan made a decision not to support the exchange rate of the national currency tenge - at a previous level, reduce the volume of currency interventions and reduce intervention to the process of establishing the exchange rate of tenge.

During the meeting, the president also told the government to intensify the work on attracting foreign investors to the country. "If we want to create favorable conditions - paradise for investors, and then let us create them," Nazarbayev said.
He called for taking concrete measures.

"We must find a common language with investors... If you do not do that, then it will be done by other government. I am warning you," the president stressed.

The head of the state noted that attracting investments to the processing industry, small and average business must be a priority.
