Economic growth in Kazakhstan in 2014 may reach about 7 percent, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh National Bank's, Kairat Kelimbetov.

"Following corrections of the national currency rate last week we are now calculating how big macroeconomic changes will be. Now we see that the economic growth in 2014 will be at about 7 percent," Kelimbetov said at the press-conference in the city of Almaty on Feb. 19.

The inflation level will remain within the earlier forecasted 6-8 percent range in 2014, Kelimbetov said.

The National Bank of Kazakhstan devaluated its national currency from 155 to 185 tenge per one dollar on Feb.11.
