Secretary General of the International Exhibition Bureau Vicente Loscertales expressed confidence that Kazakhstan will cope with holding EXPO 2017 exhibition in 2017.
"Those who say that EXPO will be held in Astana at a low level do not know Kazakhstan and EXPO," he said at a briefing in Astana. "I am sure this will be a good and successful event."
He recalled that the country has been able to build itself for 20 years.
"A new capital was built in an even lesser period," he added. "We are all used to manage big and implement large-scale projects here, so I see no problems in this issue."
He also stressed the progress in the Kazakh team's work to hold EXPO in Astana.
"Its professionalism is being increased," he added. "They are gradually becoming a team."
