The Ukrainian people should singly solve their internal problems, according to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"We are confident that the Ukrainian people should solve their internal problems without outside interference, though peaceful negotiations with all the interested parties," Nazarbayev said at the 21st session of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan on April 18.

Nazarbayev said the developments in Ukraine should make everyone take thought
"Economy and normal life, growth, improvement - all this can be achieved only in peace and in harmony. You see it," the president said.

Interethnic relations are not a field for political games, according to the head of state.

"Interethnic relations, civil equality, language policy - all this is not a field for political games but human destiny," Kazakh president said.

Nazarbayev added that these issues shouldn't be left until later and one shouldn't ignore their cynical use by any political group as an argument in the struggle for power.

"It is a threat for a state, people and for everyone. Everyone should understand that chauvinism or nationalism is separated from outright neo-fascism by a fine line that is easy to cross," Nazarbayev said.
