Kyrgyz Social-Democratic party leader Almazbek Atambayev left for Balikchi city of Issyk-Kul region on August 3 to release people detained illegally during presidential elections, press-service of the party said, CA-NEWS reported.
It should be noted that roughly 15 supporters of Atambayev were detained by law enforcement agencies as a result of incident in Balikchi city and accused of organizing of mass disorders during presidential elections on July 23, 2009.
