First group of hajj pilgrims is expected to leave for Saudi Arabia on November 5, 2009, Kanybek Osmonaliev, director of the State Commission on Religious Affairs said in Parliament Wednesday, news agency "24.kg" reported.
The two Kyrgyz air carriers - Manas Air and Kyrgyztransavia will transport believers to the holly place. "The round trip costs $1500," the director said.
Osmonaliev noted that both the hajj organizers and participants should work for better realization of the pilgrimage. In 2009 4,500 believers signed up for pilgrimage to Mecca.
