"Kyrgyzstan should develop its distinctive features in order to survive as a nation," President of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiev, said cutting the ribbon at the National Sport complex in Sokuluk region of the Chui oblast this Friday, news agency "24.kg" reported.
"Before, national horse games took place only in Bishkek and Cholpon-Ata. Now we are building hippodromes in every region of the country. National horse games have always been an important part of the distinctive Kyrgyz culture," the leader said.
"We should develop our unique culture and traditions in times of globalization in order to survive as a nation," Bakiev added.
