At least 2,500 million single-use protective masks will be delivered in Kyrgyzstan by the end of November, Rustam Kurmanov, Director General of the Medicines Provision and Medical Equipment Department under the Kyrgyz Health Care Ministry told the press conference at the news agency 24.kg Tuesday.
About six Kyrgyz companies reportedly produce over13 thousand masks daily in the republic. "We cooperate with the State Antimonopoly Regulation Agency which monitors prices for medicines and protective means at the market," the head of the department said.
As to Kurmanov, over 50 thousand doses of swine flu vaccine were imported in Kyrgyzstan in September, 2009, while about two thousand doses were delivered last week. The next batch of the flu vaccine in amount of two thousand shots is expected to arrive shortly.
