A major of Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan was detained on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek boundary, own resources informed the news agency 24.kg.
The major of Customs Service Zina Sokieva (born in 1973) was detained for frontier infringement in Fergana, Kuvasai district of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 12 February, 2010.
The incident reason remains unknown. The State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic gave no comments. However, according to the Russian mass-media it was not the first fact of detention of Kyrgyz law enforcement's officers patronizing contraband of goods in the Uzbek territory.
