In Kyrgyzstan the head of Environment Protection Fund is being accused of abuse of power, news agency "24.kg".
The General Prosecutors Office KR says, the supervisor bodies of Chui oblast have initiated a criminal case under the Article 304 "Abuse of power" against the executive director of the Environmental Protection and Forestry Development Fund.
According to the General Prosecutors Office (GPO) KR, a probe had shown the violation of the "Law on Air Protection" when the official signed an agreement with "AC- Aknazar" LTD on transfer of function of the State Ecological Control in 2008.
A year later the official signed one more agreement with the same "AC- Aknazar" LTD illegally rendering the rights to exercise the state technical inspection of motor vehicles.
As a result "AC- Aknazar" LTD carries out functions of environmental authorities providing technical inspections in Kyrgyzstan. The point is that the free-form inspection talons were given to drivers for 70 to 125 soms, whereas the cost of the specified services of environmental authorities, confirmed by the antimonopoly department makes up 25.34 soms, GPO reported.
According to the investigation, during the period from 2008 to 2009, the company ordered 43 thousand 87 talons at technical inspection, but money for the specified period didn't arrive to the account.
The Prosecutors Office calculated the damage of 1 million 77 thousand 175 soms being caused by the "AC- Aknazar" LTD.
