Kyrgyzstan has received international assistance of 280 million U.S. dollars to repair the damage caused by the June unrest in the southern regions of Osh and Jalalabad, Xinhua reported according to a government official.

Kyrgyzstan has received international assistance of 280 million U.S. dollars to repair the damage caused by the June unrest in the southern regions of Osh and Jalalabad, Xinhua reported according to a government official.

Russia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) each extended a loan of 100 million dollars to the troubled Central Asian state, said Kadanbai Baktygulov, the deputy general-director for restoration and development of the two regions.

Another 80 million dollars came from the World Bank (WB), the official was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.

All the funds will be allocated for restoration of water, electricity, heat and gas services, road reconstruction, as well as renovation of public facilities and municipal infrastructure, said the official.
