In Kyrgyzstan, prices increased by 6.8 percent in the first four months of 2011, as reported Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, 24.kg reported.

According to the department, consumer inflation in CIS amounted to 4.7 percent during the period from January to April 2011. The major price increase occurred in Belorussia - 10.9 percent.

In Tajikistan, prices grew by 6.1 percent, in Armenia - by 5 percent, in Ukraine - by 4.7 percent, in the Russian Federation and Moldova - by 4.3 percent, in Kazakhstan - by 4.2 percent, and in Azerbaijan - by 3.9 percent. However, there are no data about Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

For comparison, during the first four months of year 2010, inflation in CIS totaled 5.3 percent.
