The first state visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Kyrgyz Republic proved fruitful, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov said at a press conference on Wednesday, KyrTAG reported.
"The visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Kyrgyzstan has given a new impetus to cooperation development between the two countries," Kazykhanov said.
He said that a wide range of issues has been discussed during the visit.
"In particular, the issues and projects in economic and trade fields were discussed. Eight documents were signed. Kazakhstan appreciates the visit as very important," the minister said.
He noted that Kazakhstan is determined to invest $100 million in a joint investment fund, as well as to build a school in Osh province.
Kazykhanov thanked " fraternal Kyrgyz people for the warm welcome."
