Kyrgyz oil traders predict decrease in high octane gasoline price

Kyrgyz oil traders predict a decrease in the price of high octane gasoline in the second half of January, KyrTAG news agency reported on Tuesday.

"A reduction in the price for high octane gasoline is being discussed. It is quite possible that in the second half of January this fuel will become cheaper by 30-50 tiyins per litre, that means prices will return to their previous level," Kyrgyz Oil Traders Association President Zhumakadyr Akeneev said.

He said the wholesale prices at Russian oil refineries in 2013 remain at the same level, "which gives a reason to think about the price drop".

According to Akeneev, prices for gasoline A-80 and diesel fuel will not drop as their prices did not rise in the autumn.

"Supply of fuels and lubricants from the duty free limit set by Russia this year has already started. There is no problem with provision of fuel in the country," he stressed.
