Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to regional cooperation in hydro energy sphere and supports rational and effective use of hydro energy resources of Central Asia, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiyev said during the meeting with Tajik PM Akil Akilov. Satybaliyev is on an official visit in Dushanbe.
During the meeting Kyrgyz Prime Minster stressed timeliness and relevance of high-level International conference on water issue hosted by Tajikistan within implementation of UN resolutions, as well as declaration of 2013 as the International water cooperation year, Kyrgyzstan government said on Wednesday.
During the meeting the parties highlighted that it is necessary to speed up the construction of cross-border wholesale markets and contribute to development of close ties between economic entities in cross-border areas within the development of cross-border cooperation.
The importance of interaction between the local authorities of Kyrgyz and Turkmen cross-border areas in preventing conflict situations in cross-border areas was also stressed.
The Prime Ministers of two countries stressed the necessity of ensuring rapid reaction of the parties to any cross-border incident and peaceful solution of all disputes through dialogue.
