Kyrgyz Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiyev ordered work to be undertaken on an import substitution programme during a discussion of the republic's budget project for 2014, the republican government press service said on Tuesday.
"The design and implementation of the import substitution programme which will give the opportunity to develop national production is particularly important within the taken course for diversification of the country's economy," according to the minister's order.
The republic's Ministry of Energy and Industry was ordered to develop the programme. It should be submitted to the government for consideration in the second half of the autumn.
"It should be a concrete programme with clear tasks and real for implementation," Satybaldiyev said.
