Kyrgyz Parliament adopted a resolution of the restructure of Kutor project, Kabar Agency reported.

This decision was accepted by 60 votes of deputies out of 97 participants.

The Kumtor gold deposit in Kyrgyzstan became a subject of dispute in the country and brought on a number of social protests.

This gold mine is an open-pit gold mining site in Issyk Kul Province of the country.

Kumtor is being operated by Canadian mining company, Centerra Gold.
