Kyrgyzstan discusses joining to Customs Union with Kazakhstan

Kyrgyz Economy Minister Temir Sariyev who is on a visit to Astana discussed Kyrgyzstan' s joining to the Customs Union with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Kazakh Prime-minister's web site reported on May 16.

The sides discussed the implementation of the roadmap for Kyrgyzstan's joining to the Customs Union of the Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia approved by Kyrgyz Government earlier this week.

Moreover they considered prospects for trade and economic cooperation, including the functioning of the customs posts, interaction in the fields of agriculture and water management, migration, epizootic situation, veterinary and phytosanitary security.

"Relations between our countries are developing dynamically, economic ties are saturated. I believe that the Kyrgyzstan's joining to the Customs Union will strengthen cooperation and will benefit the economies and peoples of our countries," Kazakh Deputy Prime said.

Sariev expressed Kyrgyzstan's willingness to intensify economic cooperation with Kazakhstan and expressed hope for support on the issues discussed.
