The opportunity to introduce new technologies in Kyrgyzstan's education system was discussed during the meeting of the country's Deputy Prime Minister Elvira Sarieva and the representative of Microsoft Corporation Rashid Ivaev, Kabar Agency reported on May 20.

Sarieva touched upon the issues of introduction of modern information technologies and services in educational institutions of the country. In particular, the possibility of free use of Microsoft's software in educational institutions and educational management bodies of Kyrgyzstan.

Microsoft representative stressed that there's an opportunity for free use of "Office 365" within the special tariff for educational institutions.

"This opportunity allows students, teachers and other school officers to use e-mail, to create web sites, edit and keep documents on cloud storages, to exchange instant messages and organize web conferences. Our product is perfect for schools which want to modernize their communicational and production infrastructure," Ivaev said.

Along with other initiatives, Kyrgyz Vice Prime Minister was offered to consider Microsoft's "Dream Spark" program, which offers students with free access to Microsoft tools and services for development of new applications.

Following the meeting the sides agreed to develop further steps of cooperation in educational sphere.
