Ozoda Rakhmon, the daughter of Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon is appointed as deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, RIA Novosti reports with the reference to President's press-service representative.
The decree was signed by the President, following the governmental session which took place on Tuesday, September 29, Ferghana.ru reported.
It has to be mentioned that earlier (since 2007) the second daughter of Tajik President has headed the consulate department of Foreign Affairs Ministry. Overall, the Tajik leader has seven daughters and two sons.
It is interesting to note that Gulnara Karimova, the eldest daughter of Uzbek President, is also the deputy Foreign Affairs Minister. The independent observers believe that these positions for highly-ranked offspring are intermediary steps to the top of power. Presumably, the throne successor traditions in Central Asia cannot be eradicated in near future.
