Tajikistan and the U.S. discussed ways of strengthening of bilateral cooperation in combating nuclear materials smuggling, Avesta.Tj reported on Thursday.
The meeting is an extension of bilateral cooperation started in 2007 aimed at the improvement of prevention, disclosure and reaction to nuclear materials smuggling.
During the meeting, the sides confirmed the need for closer cooperation in the field.
The event's participants - parliament and Ministry representatives underscored the importance of coordinated reaction to potential nuclear smuggling.
