The first deputy foreign minister of Tajikistan Mahmudjon Sobirov has been dismissed from his post by the government decree, Tajik President's official website reported on April 17.

He has been holding this position since October 29, 2010. The decree has been signed by Tajikistan's president Emomali Rakhmon.

By another government decree Sobirov has been appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan.

Previous ambassador of Tajikistan to this country, Ashur Abdurahim left the post and retired.
