Tajikistan and Belarus discussed the perspectives for cooperation in transport sphere, Avesta.Tj reported on April 24 referring to the statement of Tajik ministry of transport.
The discussions were held in Dushanbe during the first meeting of Tajikistan's ministry of transport commission and the ministry of transport and communication of Belarus.
In particular, the sides discussed the issues of ground freight transportation and establishment of air communication between the capitals of two countries.
The sides outlined the plans and the ways to develop the cooperation in transport sphere, exchange of experience and training not only at bilateral but also at multilateral level within the regional and international transport organizations.
A protocol on cooperation was signed following the meeting.
The turnover between the two countries amounted to over $9.2 million during the first quarter of 2014, which is 9.1 percent less than during the same period of 2013, according to the Statistical Agency of Tajikistan.
