The chairman of Tajikistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sharif Said met with the president of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Abdurahman Al-Zamil, Avesta.Tj reported on April 30 referring to Tajik CCI.
The main purpose of the meeting was the establishment and development of inter-chamber, as well as investment, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
At the meeting the sides discussed the current issues and prospects for Tajik-Saudi trade and economic relations, including the way develop and strengthen direct cooperation between entrepreneurs, creating joint ventures, to attract private investment and advanced technologies in priority sectors of the Tajik economy.
The chairman if Tajikistan's CCI stressed the high potential of forming joint ventures in priority sectors such as energy, gas and oil production, food industry, light industry, transport, construction, agriculture, processing industry, IT, as well as attracting Saudi investments in Tajik economy.
Following the meeting, the agreement on cooperation was signed between the two CCI.
On April 30, Tajikistan's foreign minister Sirodjidin Aslov also met with deputy minister of foreign affairs in Saudi Arabia Yusuf bin Tarada al-Sadun, Tajik foreign ministry reported.
During the meeting the issues of bilateral cooperation in different areas were discussed as well.
