The issues of attracting Kuwaiti investments in the Tajik economy were discussed during the meeting of Tajikistan's State Committee on Investments and State Property Management (SCISPM) chairman Kodiri Cosima with the adviser of Kuwaiti Emir's Cabinet Abdullah Matuq Al Matuk in Dushanbe, Avesta.Tj reported on May 6 referring to the statement of SCISPM.

During the meeting the information about Tajikistan's investment climate was presented to Kuwaiti delegation.

Priority directions for investments, which are energy, metal mining industry and banking spheres, were highlighted.

Kuwait expressed readiness to cooperate with Tajikistan in different areas, as well as to study Tajikistan's investment projects in terms of financing.

On May 5, Tajikistan's president Emomali Rahmon met with the deputy minister of Islamic affairs and religious issues of Kuwait, Chairman of International Al-Wasatiya Center Adel Abdullah Al-Falah.

The sides discussed the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait, as well as interaction between Muslim countries.

Adel Abdullah Al-Falah stressed that Kuwait is ready to open the office of Al-Wasatiya Center in Tajikistan.
