Tajikistan and the EU discussed the issues of cooperation in Dushanbe, during the meeting of Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodzhiddin Aslov with the special envoy of the European Union to Central Asia Janos Herman, Avesta.Tj reported on June 10.
During the meeting the sides discussed the main directions of Tajikistan-EU cooperation and the perspectives for its development for 2014-2020, according to the statement of Tajik ministry of foreign affairs.
Particular attention was paid to the strengthening border security, water resources and energy management, and interaction with the environment.
Implementation of EU's strategy for Central Asia, as well as expanding of regional cooperation with Afghanistan's participation was also discussed at the meeting.
