Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon on the phone invited the Head of Turkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov to make a state visit to Dushanbe in late March.
This invitation was accepted with gratitude. Dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
The press service of the Turkmen government reported that the sides noted that relations between the two countries "are experiencing a qualitatively new stage in its development."
During the conversation, they discussed the priority aspects of bilateral relations, exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Rahmon and Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed their readiness to "build a fruitful interaction."
