Turkmen president to hold negotiations in Kazan

Negotiations will be held between Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov and head of the Republic of Tatarstan of Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov in Kazan on Wednesday, the Turkmen government said.

The agenda includes priority spheres of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, which received a strong impetus in its development in recent years, the report says.

Following the negotiations it is expected to sign a programme of cooperation in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2012-2014.

The parties are in talks on cooperation in such spheres as trade and economy, fuel and energy, agriculture, transport, machine building, shipbuilding, as well as high-tech.
Kamaz's largest training and trade service center in Central Asia is located in Ashgabat. Roughly 10,000 Kamaz vehicles are registered in Turkmenistan.

Kamaz offers clients a wide range of vehicles with various cargo-carrying capacities, the Turkmen president said. Experts note that all of the company's latest models meet EU environmental safety standards.

Earlier Kamaz agreed to make custom modifications to its vehicles for Turkmenistan by taking into account the country's soil and climatic characteristics.
