The meeting of Turkmen president Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedow with Uzbek president Islam Karimov, who is currently in Turkmen capital with official visit, took place on Tuesday in Ashgabat, an official Turkmen source reported.
Within the negotiations the heads of two states discussed a number of actual issues of international and regional policy, which are of mutual interest. It's been noted that positions of the countries are close or similar on many actual issues of international relations.
According to local experts, situation in Afghanistan, problems of Aral and transborder rivers are on the agenda.
