Democratic processes in Turkmenistan are irreversible and consistent, Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedow, who is currently in Switzerland on an official visit, stated on Tuesday.
Speaking on the democratic processes in the country, he called them irreversible and consistent.
The establishment of the Industrialists and Businessmen Party which became possible due to the law on 'Political parties', issued early this year, was named as an example.
It's been noted that Turkmenistan is successfully cooperating with authoritative international structures, such as the UN and is going to continue this cooperation.
Answering the question of the Swiss mass media representative on democratic reforms held in Turkmenistan, Berdimuhamedow stressed that provision of citizens' rights and interests is a priority for Turkmenistan's state policy.
The information says that by joining basic international conventions, agreements and contracts in human rights field, Turkmenistan takes concrete effective steps on advancing national legislature and the implementation of generally accepted international rules and regulations in the legal field.
'The highest value for our community and state in our country is a person. Unprecedented social benefits including free electric energy, gas and water consumption, given to Turkmen citizens shows that the care for people is a priority of Turkmen state policy', the article noted.
Pardons for some imprisoned people are being held every year due to the humanistic principles of Turkmen people.
