On Wednesday, 188 Turkmen pilgrims will fly to Saudi Arabia by a special flight organizedby the State National Service "Turkmen Hova Yullari" according to the order of the Turkmen President, the Turkmen government reported.
"During the Hajj, they will visit the holy Mecca and Medina, the place of birth of the Prophet Muhammad, offer up prayers for the prosperity of the Motherland and welfare of their people," the report says.
This flight is carried out at the expense of "Turkmen Hova Yullari" and carried out by a "Boing-757" aircraft.
The Turkmen people profess Sunni branch of Islam.
In Turkmenistan the government sponsors delivery of pilgrims to Mecca since 2001.
