The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the most important aspects of international cooperation in Turkmenbashi on Thursday, a source close to the negotiations said.

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the most important aspects of international cooperation in Turkmenbashi on Thursday, a source close to the negotiations said.

The parties confirmed the mutual desire to make long-term cooperation more dynamic.

The two sides expressed their confidence in the successful continuation of fruitful
partnership built on a long term and mutually beneficial basis.

Turkish companies develop over 1,270 investment projects in Turkmenistan, with more than 1,200 projects worth over $15 billion and 26 projects worth over €2 billion as well as 26 projects worth over 56 billion manat.

Ashgabat and Ankara would like to develop energy cooperation. Turkey declares its readiness to facilitate the supply of Caspian energy to Europe through its territory, and one of the options is via the Caspian Sea through Azerbaijan.
