Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, September 17 / Trend, H. Hasanov / Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov appointed two ambassadors to Israel and China, National TV reported on Tuesday. Ata Serdarov was appointed Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Israel. The diplomat will simultaneously carry out an ambassadorial mission in the Turkish Republic (Ankara city). Chinar Rustemova was appointed Turkmenistan's Ambassador to China (Beijing city). She headed a diplomatic mission in Tajikistan prior to this appointment. Currently, Turkmenistan and Israel are holding negotiations about the prospective development of cooperation in the economy, business, energy, tourism, education and rational use of water resources. Israel actively participated in the reconstruction of the largest refinery in the city of Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan. In recent years a reconstruction was carried out at this enterprise costing over $2 billion with investments from several European and Asian banks. Contractual work was carried by companies from Japan, Turkey, France, Germany, Israel, Iran and others. When coming to China, currently this country is in the first place in the total volume of Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover. At the same time work on expanding an assortment of export and import commodities continues. China is one Turkmenistan's long term partners and the largest creditor in the oil and gas industries. The clear evidence of this is with the construction and commissioning of the Turkmenistan-China transnational gas pipeline in 2009. In accordance with new agreements, the volume of annual fuel supply to China will be increased from 40 billion to 65 billion cubic meters through connection of additional communications.
