The official visit of Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov to Kingdom of Thailand has been scheduled for Nov.30 - December 2, a message from the country's government said on Nov.23.

The message said that on the results of the bilateral negotiations it is planned to sign a number of documents that will strengthen the legal base of interstate relations.

In addition, the president said that one of the important directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy is the deepening and cultivating of mutually beneficial partnership with South-East Asia and Asian-Pacific region where there is a huge potential for a productive interaction in various spheres.

According to the president, the planned visit to Thailand is designed to "write an important chapter of the history of the interstate dialogue".

Additionally, the president of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the agreements that will be reached during the upcoming bilateral high-level negotiations will serve to the comprehensive strengthening of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Thailand, will contribute to the intensifying of mutually beneficial relations and implementation of the current partnership opportunities.

Moreover, fuel, energy, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres have been determined as priorities.
