Chairperson of the Majlis (Turkmen Parliament) Akja Nurberdiyeva has received credentials from the Brazilian Ambassador Demetrio Bueno Carvalho, the Turkmen government said today.
'Both sides exchanged views on the prospects of a business partnership in trade and economic, fuel, energy and humanitarian spheres, agriculture, sport and tourism', a report said.
Demetrio Bueno Carvalho was updated with the priorities of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy. Strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations was also mentioned.
Turkmenistan has recently intensified cooperation with Latin American countries. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development 'Rio +20' in Brazil in June 2012. He held several meetings with the presidents of South American countries.
