The Turkmen national air carrier Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmenistan Airlines), plans to make flights to the cities of Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh and Toronto, Altyn Asyr national TV channel said on March 27.
'It is planned to make flights to the cities of Kuala Lumpur , Ho Chi Minh and Toronto after receiving Boeing 777-200 LR aircraft', the report says.
The country's national fleet recently obtained this type of airliner delivered by the Boeing Corporation as part of a contract concluded in 2011. Such aircraft can accommodate up to 300 passengers or more.
The flight range is about 15,500 kilometres. The Boeing 777-200 LR aircraft is capable of making the longest non-stop passenger flights in the world. Some 21,601 kilometres is a record.
One can use GSM-communication and Wi-Fi on board.
Turkmenistan is expanding its range of flights. New passenger flights from Ashgabat to Paris were opened in 2013.
