Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree pardoning 2,184 Turkmen people and ten foreign citizens from remaining term in connection with the 22nd anniversary of the Constitution and the Day of Revival, Unity and Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi celebrated on May 18, the Turkmen government reported on May 17.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree pardoning 2,184 Turkmen people and ten foreign citizens from remaining term in connection with the 22nd anniversary of the Constitution and the Day of Revival, Unity and Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi celebrated on May 18, the Turkmen government reported on May 17.

The pardoned individuals are released from the remaining term of the main penalty, as well as additional punishment in the form of living in a particular area, according to the decree.

"Such noble actions are regularly conducted in the country for those accused of committing crimes, but regretting for these actions," according to the statement.

The specific instructions were made for all pardoned to celebrate the holiday with their family members.

"We create all conditions for such citizens to redeem their fault and take an active part in public life," the president added.

The president instructed to take the necessary measures to employ these individuals.

President Berdimuhamedov wished these individuals to make a contribution in the country by their honest work and faithfully serve the motherland.
