Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a number of decrees on appointments to the country's banking sector.
Guvanch Halmuhammedov was appointed deputy chairman of the State Commercial Dayhanbank; while Toyly Nazarov was made deputy chairman of board of Turkmenbashi bank.
Dayhanbank mainly serves public and private agricultural producers. It has more than 50 branches in rural areas. It delivers loans for agricultural projects through short-term credit lines.
The bank has a general license for foreign currency transactions and renders services for foreign currency deposit accounts.
Turkmenbashibank serves the following sectors: the oil and gas complex, energy, transport and communications, construction and building materials industry, chemical industry and trade.
