Temporary charge of Chairman of "Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk" State Concern has been assigned to Arslan Sopyev, says a public statement of Presidential Decree on Aug. 19.
Former head Amanaly Gurbanov was dismissed as chairman of the State Concern for the serious shortcomings in the work.
Units of the group are engaged in the construction of oil and gas pipelines and improvement of oil and gas fields; reconstruction of refining facilities; construction of steel and concrete tanks, etc.
At this stage State Concern together with the "Turkmengaz" implement a project for the construction of the longest "East-West" highway in the country scheduled to be launched in 2015.
In addition to existing networks this communication can provide the raw material to actively discussed the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project, which can be laid via the bottom of the sea to the coast of Azerbaijan, and from there Turkmen gas could potentially get to markets in Turkey and Europe.
Turkmenistan natural gas reserves rank fourth in the world and this kind of fuel is currently being exported to markets in China, CIS and Iran.
