Turkmenistan, Belarus discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation

Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed the prospects of the Turkmen-Belarusian cooperation, the Turkmen government reported.

"Belarusian people expect the Turkmen president's forthcoming visit scheduled for
autumn 2014," Myasnikovich said.

Berdimuhamedov and Myasnikovich met in Ankara, where the inauguration ceremony of the new president of Turkey was held.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation. The trade, transportation, engineering industry, agro-industrial industry, power engineering, processing industry, chemical industry and construction are the main areas of such cooperation, according to the statement.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of a joint construction project of the Garlyk mining and processing plant for the production of potash in Koytendag district, Lebap region.

"As Myasnikovich assured, the Belarusian side will make every effort to successfully realize this ambitious project and to conduct all operations at a high level," according to a statement.
