Uzbekistan works out measures to prevent massive violations of law and order

Exercises to prevent violations of law and order in crowded places were conducted in Uzbekistan, the country's Interior Ministry said on Friday.

According to the report, in accordance with the plan of training of command units and security forces units, planned tactical special exercises code-named "VAL" were conducted to ensure public safety and prevent group violations of law and order in crowded places.

According to the press service, the exercises were held in the territory of one of the districts of Tashkent region, in major market of the capital and adjacent territory of the Tashkent ring road.

In addition, special tactical exercises to counter subversive acts and eliminate consequences of emergency situations involving units of National Security Service, Interior Ministry, Emergency Situations Ministry, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health, the Prosecutor's Office and the Executive Power were held in Tashkent Metro.

"Within the exercises, efficiency of interaction of intelligence services was inspected and practical management and coordination of actions of departments of ministries and agencies in a crisis situation was work out. Involved police forces and other law enforcement agencies have demonstrated congruence of actions, high professional skills, discipline, and psychological stability while fulfilling the set objectives to protect state and public security," the report says.
