Uzbek President Islam Karimov on September 6-7 will start an official visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the official statement of national Uzbekistan news agency (UzA) reported.
"During the meetings and negotiations, the heads of states will discuss the bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on important regional and international issues," the report said.
At the end of the visit the adoption of a joint declaration signing of other bilateral documents aimed at further development of relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in various areas is expected.
Kazakhstan is one of the major trade partners of Uzbekistan, it accounts for more than half the trade turnover with the countries of the region. At the same time, between countries there is significant untapped potential for further development of bilateral trade.
Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are playing a significant role in the decision of many fundamental issues of security, stability and sustainable development in the region as a whole.
Between States established a solid legal basis, about 140 documents signed acts, Economic Cooperation Strategy 2016.
It is expected that the upcoming meeting of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, not only consolidate the level of bilateral relations, but also to serve the further development of cooperation and will help you find solutions to pressing regional issues.
