Chinese President Xi Jinping has today arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit at the invitation of President Islam Karimov, the press service of the head of state reported.
In the international airport of Tashkent Xi Jinping was met by President Islam Karimov.
After a brief ceremony, the Chinese delegation has left for its designated residence in suburban complex Koksaroy.
The main activities of the state visit of Chinese President is scheduled for September 9-10.
According to the presidential press service, during the visit of Islam Karimov and Xi Jinping will discuss further expansion of multifaceted Uzbek-Chinese dialogue, exchange of views on regional and international importance of mutual interest.
As previously reported, after talks will expecting signing of important documents defining the long-term prospects and priorities of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in political, economic, trade, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
