A delegation of the South Korean business people visited the Angren special industrial zone (SIZ) on Feb.26, a representative of the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade told Trend.
The visit to Angren SIZ has been organised as part of the Uzbek-Korean business forum.
The forum organisers are the Fund to support of exports of small businesses and private entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Korea International Trade Association. The Korean delegation included nearly 50 representatives of South Korean companies, associations and research organisations.
During the visit the guests became familiar with the industrial enterprises at Angren SIZ, as well as the process of implementation of the projects with participation of Korean companies.
In particular, the Uzbek-Korean joint venture Uz-Shindong Silicon that undertakes silicon production and preparing to be commissioned, as well as the work of the International Logistics Centre CJSC of Angren caused great interest among the guests.
The Korean delegation also showed interest in the conditions created in Angren SIZ for doing business.
