A new Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been appointed in accordance with the decree of the President Islam Karimov.
Doctor of Economics, Ph.D Alisher Vakhabov who prior to his appointment served as the rector of the Tashkent State Economic University will serve at this position.
Former head of the Ministry of Higher Education Bahodyr Hodiev appointed as the State Advisor to the President for science, education and cultural issues , and its predecessor Zhakhongir Ismailov was appointed as the head of the State Testing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers.
