This week, the Iranian authorities allowed the Swiss diplomat to meet with three U.S. travelers, who were detained in July on charges of illegally crossing the Iranian border, Radio Liberty reported.
According to the diplomat, the state of the arrested two men and one woman is normal. Their families said that diplomats were allowed to meet with the detainees about 40 minutes in the Tehran prison, the U.S. State Department reported. .
This was the second consular visit of the Swiss diplomats to arrested travelers.
In July, three Americans traveling on foot in the northern Iraq crossed the Iranian border. The American authorities stated that it happened by accident.
