The director of public relations in Iranian consulate was critically injured in an attack in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, police said Thursday, Xinhua reported.
Abdul Hasan was taken to hospital after some unknown gunmen opened fire at his vehicle near his residence in the cantonment area in Peshawar, police said.
Local TV channel Express said the Iranian diplomat died of injury in hospital.
