It is still unknown when the decision of the Iranian Government to unilaterally abolish visa regime with Azerbaijan will come into force, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told in his interview to Trend on Sunday.
"It is impossible to tell the date of cancellation of the visa regime with Azerbaijan as the harmonization of this issue in the government still continues," - said Mottaki.
On November 11 the Iranian Cabinet of Ministers decided to unilaterally annul the visa regime with Azerbaijan.
The proposal was sent to the Iranian Foreign Ministry by First Deputy President Mohammad Reza Rahimi. In late October, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki submitted to the government a bill on annulling the visa regime with Azerbaijan.
