A passenger bus traveling to Arak overturned last night at approximately 1:20 a.m. on the Iranian Tura-Arak Highway. Fourteen people died and seven were wounded in the accident, the Iranian Iribnews television channel reported.
According to the Tura Motor Police Department, the accident occurred due to slippery roads, and vehicles traveling at high speeds. A second passenger bus traveling from Arak to Tura crashed into the overturned bus in the area. As a result of the accident, eight people were injured.
The wounded were taken to the Shazand Hospital and are in satisfactory health.
